'IT'

Craig gave our team a copy of 'IT' today. Did you get your copy of 'IT'? When you do get 'IT', read 'IT', enjoy 'IT', apply 'IT', and see 'IT' impact your life as a leader.
On another note, this Twitter thing is kind of fun. My thoughts are changing from my usual, 'What I am going to do next?' to, 'I wonder if this moment is twitterable?' No, you won't find that word in Webster's.

Articles.
How long has it been since the Chicago Cubs won a world series? When was the last time people were actually interested in what Paris Hilton was up to? That's about the time I made my last blog post here on 'Images'. To the one or two of you who keep telling me you want more, thanks for your kindness and patience. I have a few writing projects in the works and until those surface, here are a couple articles I've written for Swerve - the coolest church leader blog out there.
This one is called 'Whose Kingdom Are You Building?' Nelson Searcy at Church Leader Insights picked this article up as well - even though he misspelled my name. That's OK, I've always had thoughts of being someone else. It's even funnier when you read the point of the article.
Here's another posted on Swerve as well. It is called 'Innovation'.
If you're a follower of Christ and passionate about your local church check out my pastor, Craig Grosechel's brand new book called 'It'.

Memorial.

There is something sacred about stepping into history. A few days ago I visited the Oklahoma City National Memorial. On the morning of April 19th, 1995, 9:02 am was a moment this city would never forget. In one cowardly act of terrorism one-hundred and sixty-eight innocent victims lost their lives. I highly respect and admire the people of this community who were affected by this tragedy. Their pain must have been great. The Oklahoma City National Memorial does a great job of preserving the memory of those lost. In all its painful detail, the memorial also somehow inspires those left behind to truly live. Walking through its halls I was reminded of many things. Life as we know it can change in an instant. When the value and dignity of human life is violated, heroes spontaneously emerge from all around. There is still more good than evil in this world. One act of hate always seems to arouse the love of the masses. The memory of those who lost their life in the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building will not be forgotten. The legacy they leave behind is our inspiration to embrace the value of life and truly live.
